Bali packing list

A practical packing list for a Bali trip from India, including the things people most often forget.

Clothing. Bali is warm and humid year-round, so pack light, breathable fabrics. Bring a light rain jacket or poncho if travelling during the wet season (roughly November to March), and one smart-casual outfit for nicer restaurants or beach clubs with dress codes.

Footwear. Comfortable sandals for everyday wear, plus a sturdier pair of shoes if you're planning on trekking (Mount Batur sunrise hikes, waterfalls) or exploring rice terraces where paths can be uneven and muddy.

Health and comfort. Mosquito repellent, sunscreen (Bali sun is strong even on cloudy days), rehydration sachets, and any personal medication in original packaging with a copy of your prescription.

Tech. Indonesia uses Type C and F sockets, different from India's Type D/M plugs, so bring a universal adapter. Most phone chargers with detachable USB cables will still work, but wall adapters generally won't fit without one. A power bank is useful for long travel days.

Documents. Passport with at least 6 months' validity, printed or downloaded e-VOA confirmation, proof of onward travel, hotel booking confirmation, and travel insurance details. Keep digital copies of everything in case originals are lost.
