Bali visa information for Indian travellers

Indian passport holders normally need a visa to enter Indonesia for tourism. Always confirm current requirements with official sources before you book.

India is not on Indonesia's visa-exempt list, so Indian passport holders need to arrange a visa before or on arrival for a Bali trip. Entry rules are set by the Indonesian government and can change, so always confirm current requirements on the official Indonesian immigration portal before you book.

In general, here's what applies to Indian tourists:

  • Most short leisure trips use the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), which can be applied for online before departure or obtained on arrival at designated airports including Bali's Ngurah Rai (Denpasar).
  • The e-VOA typically allows a 30-day stay and can be extended once at a local immigration office for a further 30 days.
  • Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival, with blank visa pages.
  • Indonesia also requires an Electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD) and online arrival registration, usually completed a few days before travel, separate from the visa itself.
  • A separate Bali Tourist Levy is payable once per trip, on top of the visa fee, either online in advance or on arrival.

We don't restate exact fees or day counts here since these are set by the Indonesian government and do change — check the official immigration portal (evisa.imigrasi.go.id) or your airline/travel agent for the current requirements closer to your travel date.
