Bali's dry season, roughly April to October, carries the highest fares from India, with the sharpest spikes around Indian school holidays in May-June and around Diwali/year-end in October-December.
Book direct Mumbai and Bengaluru routes 6-8 weeks ahead where possible, since IndiGo's daily capacity on these newer routes is limited and fares rise quickly closer to departure. For one-stop routes from Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata, compare total journey time as well as price - a cheaper fare with a long layover can cost you a travel day either way.
Watch baggage allowances closely on connecting itineraries, since a through-fare on one airline doesn't always mean checked bags are covered end-to-end when a codeshare partner operates one leg.
