Jimbaran sits just south of the airport on a wide sheltered bay. It is best known for the grilled-seafood warungs that set tables directly on the sand at sunset, and for its cluster of luxury resorts on the southern headland. The bay is calm enough for swimming, the fish market operates early each morning, and it is a short drive to both the airport and the Uluwatu cliffs - a common choice for a first or last night in Bali.
