Where To Stay in Legian

Jalan Padma and Jalan Melasti are the two main east-west streets running down to the beach, and both are lined with hotels. Staying on either puts you within a five to ten minute walk of the sand and of the restaurants along Jalan Legian.

The beachfront itself has a smaller number of larger hotels with lawns and pools facing the sunset. Inland of Jalan Legian, rates drop noticeably and you are still only 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the water.

Northern Legian shades into Seminyak, which is the pick if you want Seminyak's restaurants at Legian's rates. Southern Legian runs into Kuta and is livelier at night.
