Bali Packing List & Pre-Travel Checklist For South Korean Travellers
A practical packing list and pre-travel checklist for a Bali trip from South Korea — what to pack, plus the entry documents, money and connectivity to organise before you fly.
Pre-Travel & Entry Documents
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, with a blank page available.
- Visa: Obtain an Electronic Visa on Arrival through the official Indonesian e-Visa website, or obtain a Visa on Arrival when eligible upon landing. See our Bali visa and entry requirements page for the official sources.
- Arrival Form: Complete the All Indonesia Digital Arrival Form within 72 hours of departure and save the QR code for your journey.
- Tourist Levy: Pay Bali's IDR 150,000 tourist levy before travelling through the official Love Bali portal.
- Travel Insurance: Carry your policy details and check that your cover is appropriate for your planned activities, particularly if you intend to ride or travel on a scooter. Compare travel insurance options.
- Driving Permits: If you intend to drive or ride in Bali, check the applicable licence requirements before travelling, including whether you require an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your valid driver's licence.
Packing Essentials
- Clothing: Lightweight linen or cotton tops, shorts, swimwear, and a sarong or scarf for temple visits.
- Footwear: Comfortable walking sandals or shoes, flip-flops, and footwear you don't mind getting dirty on muddy walks or hikes.
- Health Kit: Reef-conscious sunscreen, insect repellent, hand sanitiser, and your usual travel medicines and personal health essentials.
- Tech: A suitable travel power adaptor and portable power bank.
- Extras: A dry bag or waterproof pouch for beach, snorkelling and boat days.
On-the-Ground Prep

- Apps: Consider downloading useful local transport and food-delivery apps such as Gojek or Grab before travelling.
