Bali visa information for Australians
Australians normally need a visa to enter Indonesia for tourism. Always confirm current requirements with official sources before you book.
Entry requirements change, and they are set by the Indonesian government - not by us. Before booking, check the Australian Government's Smartraveller advice for Indonesia and the official Indonesian immigration website, and confirm details with your airline at check-in.
Points travellers commonly need to verify:
- The visa type available to Australian passport holders for tourism, its cost, and how long it permits you to stay.
- Whether it can be applied for online before departure or on arrival.
- Passport validity requirements (six months validity beyond arrival is a common rule).
- Any electronic arrival or customs declaration that must be completed before landing.
- Any departure levy or tourist levy payable.
We deliberately do not restate visa fees, durations or processing rules here, because incorrect information could cost you a flight. Use official sources.
